I recently made my second purchase from After Dark, encouraged by a 10% loyalty discount offered to repeat customers. Unfortunately, the nightie I received had extremely rough fabric—completely unsuitable for sleepwear and not what I expected based on the product description.
When I reached out to exchange the item, I was shocked to learn that using a discount code made me ineligible for an exchange. This was not a sale item—it was a regular purchase with a loyalty discount. Despite explaining that the product was unusable due to its texture, the customer service team refused to help and did not escalate my concern to a senior representative.
As a loyal customer, I feel let down and cheated by this rigid and unreasonable policy. A discount should not override basic customer rights, especially when the product is not fit for use. I hope After Dark reconsiders its approach to customer care and implements more sensible policies that reflect respect for loyal buyers.
Nice material & stitching quality but sizing is wrong and after sales is really bad. i have been trying to contact them for days together to exchange my item cos of sizing issues. I normally wear a large in most brands so i ordered XL so that it would be a loose fit as it is night wear. The top was just fit and the bottom is tight. they only give a window of 5 days to return from date of order. i received it only on the 6th day which was the 12th of Aug 2025. until today no response to mail of WhatsApp msg. hence trying the review method to resolve my issue.

I love it ,the fabric is cool and amazing its so gorgeous only one this is the sizes are specified to s/m and l/xl but what i receive is small only its little bit tight on the armhole because its only small size fitting not a small to medium fit but its okay still I can wear it .
The fabric has a slight texture and its so pretty. The flow of the dress is also very nice. Love it!

the material is of very low quality, the embroidery is nice.. but in a few washes the threads become fuzzy, I would suggest high quality material which feels comfortable on wearing.. ensure the embroidery threads are strong and doesn’t fuzz after wash, for the price it’s not worth.. I would not purchase or recommend anyone to buy
